TLS Tunnel serves as a complimentary VPN designed to break through restrictions set by internet service providers and governmental regulations, ensuring users' privacy, freedom, and anonymity.
Utilizing a proprietary protocol known as TLSVPN, our official servers implement a straightforward mechanism for protecting connections via TLS 1.3 (with optional TLS 1.2), the same protection applied to HTTPS websites. A self-signed certificate is verified upon connection, providing a safeguard against interception.
Accessing TLS Tunnel requires no registration or payment—simply a functional internet connection is necessary. Should you encounter any restrictions from your provider, some knowledge around navigating these barriers may be helpful.
For those who prefer to use their own servers, it is possible through the Private Server option utilizing SSH. This may be accomplished via the standard port 22 (SSH standard) or through connection text and SNI, contingent upon server configuration to handle these connections.
The official servers support all IPv4 protocols, while the SSH connection from private servers permits only TCP traffic. If a private server runs a UDP Gateway, such as badvpn-udpgw, then UDP connections are feasible. Without UDP connectivity, you may experience limitations in playing certain online games or accessing specific services.
In addition, the official servers enable communication among users connected to the same server via their generated IP addresses. By default, your IP remains hidden from others to maintain security, but when enabled, you will have the capability to interact with fellow users.
Remember, TLS Tunnel is entirely free. However, if you do not own your own server, you have the option to pay for access to third-party servers under the Private Server choice. Please be aware that TLS Tunnel disclaims responsibility for these private servers, so any issues should be directed to the server's owner.
